On Thursday, July 30, Thursday, August 6, and Thursday, August 13, the historic center of Ootmarsum will be transformed into a lively market.

Unique stalls in picturesque streets, traditional crafts, surprising performances, original musicians, and cozy outdoor cafes invite young and old alike to visit. The Boerendansers will also be back at the 1st Siepelmarkt (July 31). Starting at noon, they’ll dance through the streets, “herding” visitors and inviting them to the Twente Farmers’ Wedding, with the official ceremony taking place around 4:00 p.m. on Kerkplein.

The Siepelmarkt wouldn’t be the Siepelmarkt if it didn’t continue to surprise its visitors. A longer route than in previous years winds past traditional crafts, and there’s a goods market and street vendors. There’s also extra attention for the children this year, with a fun kids’ market.
After each Siepelmarkt, a band will perform at Stadscafe In den Guldene Crone. The performances start at 8:30 p.m., and admission is FREE.
