There is a lot to experience and see in and around Ootmarsum-Dinkelland! Dinkelland consists of Ootmarsum, Denekamp and Weerselo, surrounded by several villages. In the beautiful surroundings you can enjoy cycling or walking. And in Denekamp itself you can enjoy various sights, museums and shops.
The beautiful Singraven estate is well known with its beautiful watermills and stately manor, the oldest part of which dates from 1415. Of course, the oldest natural history museum in the Netherlands, "Museum Natura Docet Wonderryck Twente" and the observatory in Lattrop are also very worthwhile. A few years ago, the center of Denekamp underwent a true metamorphosis. A cozy and intimate village square has been created at the foot of the St. Nicolaaskerk. Near the St. Nicholas Church is the characteristic former shop of, as it is popularly called, the "ladies Emperor". Due to its size and style, the building is an example of a late patrician house with shop and it dates from the early 19th century. The guild workshop Het Dinkelwerk is a spacious workshop in authentic Twente timbered style. The workshop currently houses a candle maker, goldsmith, visual artist, tiffany artist and painter. In the municipality of Dinkelland there are four wind turbines, all four of which have been put back into operation. These are the St. Nicholas Mill and the Borgelink Mill in Denekamp, the Oortman Mill in Lattrop and the Westerveld Mill near Tilligte. For daily shopping you can go to Denekamp, the town also has nice shops with a diverse range.
There is an extensive network of cycling and walking routes around Ootmarsum-Dinkelland.
